This amber IPA is brewed with 100% Darbro Farms hops and fresh Midwest malt from: https://www.rootshootmalting.com/

it has a warm balanced taste that I’d challenge anyone to get from standard off the shelf ingredients. The recipe is posted below. Comments and suggestions are always welcome.

Grains:

  • 10lbs Genie Pale Ale
  • 4lbs Genie Vienna
  • 1lb Carapils

Hops:

  • 1 oz Galena 60min
  • 1 oz Chinook 10min
  • 1 oz Crystal 10min
  • 1 oz Chinook. Whirlpool 5min
  • 1 oz Crystal Whirlpool 5min

Yeast:

  • 1056 American Ale

Misc:

  • whirfloc tablet 15min
  • yeast nutrient

Medium Body Mash. Boil volume 6.5 gal. Batch size 5 gal. Estimated OG 1.065 FG  1.010 ABV 6.77%
